What is the Octos Airdrop Batch?
The Octos Airdrop Batch is a program that rewards holders of The Octos NFTs with $OTK, the native token of the Octo Gaming platform.
The first snapshot of Octo NFT holders’ wallets will occur within the next seven days, from now on until April 12, with holders receiving an amount of OTK based on the number of Octos they hold.
This initial airdrop is just the beginning. Octo Gaming plans to run the Octos Airdrop Batch every two months for at least a year.
How Does the Octos Airdrop Batch Work?
Between each airdrop batch, Octo Gaming will take a snapshot of all wallets containing at least one Octo NFT.
The amount of $OTK granted during each airdrop batch will be based on the number of Octos held in each wallet, meaning that those holding more Octos will receive a larger share of the airdrop.
The amount of $OTK granted will be at the discretion of Octo Gaming, and will be based on the achievement of milestones of the app hub we are building.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Octos Airdrop Batch, Octo NFTs must be held in a wallet that is not listed on any NFT marketplaces. This means that Octo NFTs must be stored in a private wallet such as Phantom, or the in-app Octo wallet.
If Octos are stored on a marketplace, they will not be eligible for the airdrop, so make sure you delist your Octos as soon as possible.
It is important to note that the airdrop is only available to those who hold Octos at the time of each snapshot, which will be not divulgated before.
Therefore, it is crucial to ensure that Octos are held in a safe wallet at all times ; Not your keys, not your Octos! This rule apply to our community, but it is an advice we recommend to follow for any other project and chain.
Vested Rewards
Once eligible for an Octos Airdrop Batch, the amount of OTK granted will be directly unlock and vested over a period of 30 days, with rewards being distributed daily.
This vesting schedule ensures that holders are rewarded for their commitment to the Octos collection over the long term in-app, rather than simply receiving a large amount of OTK upfront.
